New Supergroup featuring Rob Zombie, John 5, & Nikki Sixx Release Cover of Country Classic “I’ve Been Everywhere”

Rob Zombie and longtime guitarist John 5 joined forces with Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx and Tommy Clufetos (of Black Sabbath / Ozzy Osbourne) to make the new supergroup L.A. Rats and today they released a cover of the 1959 Geoff Mack country music classic I’ve Been Everywhere.

The song, which was made famous by versions from Johnny Cash & Hank Snow, name drops Bangor, Maine and will be featured in the upcoming Liam Neeson action film The Ice Road set for release on Netflix June 25th, 2021.

Rock and country go hand in hand, especially for guitarist John 5 (John Lowery) who often incorporates his love of country music into his solo album and was playing guitar for country singer K.D. Land long before his long stint at guitarist for Marilyn Manson.

The Ice Road’s soundtrack is rounded out with country and Americana artists covering classic truck driving songs. Sadly, Maine’s own Dick Curless’ hit Tombstone Every Mile didn’t make the cut (but should have).
